Frank B Grimes' EXCESS, over a year in the making, is finally ready. Honoring all of the acts that inspired it, EXCESS flows seamlessly between dreamy ambience, cheerful pop, and brutal, beautiful noise.
EXCESS explores the tiring effects of a world run by greed and envy and their contrast to the comraderie that comes from facing it all together. EXCESS is a collection of stories about a dreary future, textbook narcissists, unhealthily restrained love, Frank's own notoriously bad health and, of course, the friends we made along the way.

Monument Valley is the song that defined Frank's sound, evolving from a tiny whisper to a screaming roar of beautiful noise. Not for the faint of heart. Monument Valley is the second single off of Frank's upcoming album, releasing in mid 2023.
New release: Blue Collar Funeral
After a dubious amount of self-reflection, Frank returns again with a hypnotic lo-fi pop anthem called Blue Collar Funeral. A reflection on the unknowns of the urban and suburban worlds alike, the dancing bass and sharp guitars roll over a sleazy, sloppy drum track.
New release: Toothache
Over a year after the original release of his first amateur EP, Frank returns with a far fuller, more self-secure sound with Toothache. Droning bass and frantic drums seep out of his post-punk roots while the effects-drenched guitars create a kaleidoscope of rhythm and noise. Toothache is the first single off of Frank's upcoming album, releasing in mid 2023.
About Frank
Frank Buchanan Grimes is a pseudonym.
Frank first picked up a bass when he was 16. After slipping in and out of several bands over the next few years and no way to get the music out of his head and onto tape, he got himself a guitar and a set of drums for the price of a good cup of coffee.
Now that he's had some time to practice, this sometimes noisy, sometimes quaint, abrasive, sometimes soothing maelstrom of music has found its way out of him through his fingertips.
